The door case

Three clerks, the same check every week. From autumn 2026 the mailbox does it.

A manufacturer of commercial doors in the St. Pölten district orders from its suppliers by e‑mail. The order confirmations come back by e‑mail, and every supplier writes them differently: different order, abbreviations, missing fields. Until now a clerk searched the mailbox for each confirmation and compared it line by line with the purchase order. It takes expertise and still makes you blind. One overlooked digit is enough for an unusable door.

What was built

Connection to the existing mailbox. Incoming mail is recognised, categorised and forwarded to the right person.

For every order confirmation the matching purchase order is found in the order folder, whether PDF or Excel.

Both documents are read in a structured way and compared line by line, however the supplier formats, abbreviates or omits fields. A lookup table is not enough for that; the system learns new variants itself.

The clerk receives the comparison as an e‑mail with a short PDF. They decide, the system prepares.

In operation it does not need JMK. New suppliers and document formats are handled without us.

JmkPOS

The till for the club festival. Built because we needed one ourselves.

JmkPOS runs in the browser on a tablet or laptop. The club maintains range, prices and registers itself, JMK sets it up and brings the hardware on request. Not a hospitality system with a hundred features, but what a festival, a home game or a canteen needs.

The idea comes from our time on the student council of HTL St. Pölten: Christmas market, summer festival, charity drives, always with paper and a cash box. That became JmkPOS, and JmkPOS became JMK Solutions.

The people

The people behind JMK Solutions.

We know each other from the student council of HTL St. Pölten. There the three of us organised the Christmas market, the summer festival, charity drives and a book flea market, and at some point needed a till that did not exist. The till became JmkPOS, the team became JMK Solutions OG. As a general partnership, the three of us are personally liable for what we promise.

Before we start

Answers on getting started, costs, funding and existing systems.

Do we already need a finished concept?

No. A concrete bottleneck or use case is enough. In the initial consultation we clarify the goal, the systems involved and the open questions.

Can our existing systems stay?

We first check what can be reused. An interface or a targeted addition is often more economical than a rebuild, and sometimes it is enough to set up existing software properly.

How are costs and duration estimated?

After the free initial consultation you receive an effort estimate with a fixed price for the agreed scope before any commitment. Small automations take weeks, web apps with a database a few months. Additional scope is discussed before it arises.

What happens if JMK no longer exists in two years?

Documentation and all access belong to you from handover. You receive the source code on request at no extra charge and may develop it further yourself or with another team (GTC § 7.3, § 7.5). The software runs in an EU data centre or on your infrastructure, not with us. And as a general partnership, the three partners are personally liable.

Is there funding for a project like this?

For digitalisation projects there are programmes such as KMU.DIGITAL at federal level and regional funding. Whether and how your project qualifies is something we clarify in the first conversation. The application stays with you or your tax advisor; we provide the project documents needed.

Where does the software run and who owns the data?

Depending on requirements the solution runs in an EU data centre or on your own infrastructure. Your data stays under your control.
